Weight Watchers Points program really puts things into perspective for dieters as far as calories, portions and fiber! Suddenly, when you join the WW program, fiber is your bestest friend! It makes food items healthier and you can eat more because the points are less depending on how many fiber grams the item has!
I have always had some appreciation for fiber but not as much until yesterday when I was putzing around on the Starbucks website looking at nutritional content for the drinks! (I am not giving up my vice just because I am counting points!) I found an item that is not listed on the Starbucks menu. Espresso Frappucino Light! A tall sized Espresso Frappucino Light is only 1 point, but most of the Tall Light Fraps are. The magic was when I entered the content for the Venti sized drink. TWO POINTS! Can this be real? Coffee really has that much fiber? It’s true!
At 110 calories, 0.5 Fat grams and THREE grams of Fiber, this is the best size value for your point value as far as I am concerned! I can get by with a Grande sized drink most of the time but then there are those days you want that big HONKIN coffee drink while shopping or working. If you stick to the Espresso Frappucino Light it will barely make a dent in your points for the day. Thank you Starbucks, for this awesome drink. It is deicious if you appreciate a stronger coffee flavor to your drinks, I know I do. I want to remind you again that this item is NOT actually listed on the Starbucks menu in the store, but if you ask for it they will know exactly what you mean! The summer is saved!
P.S. In case you were wondering how many points are in a Grande Espresso Frappucino Light, the point value is the same as the Venti: 2!
